Responsibilities
- General Operations: Carry out line operations and cleaning regimes to ensure safe delivery of quality packed products.
- Pre-Start Checks: Perform checks to confirm that the area and equipment are clean and safe as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Quality Monitoring: Monitor product quality against set standards and report any faults in product or packaging.
- Process Abnormalities: Quickly detect any process abnormalities and take emergency actions to mitigate issues.
- Eco-Efficiency: Actively contribute to maintaining an eco-efficient environment.
- Machine Cleaning: Clean machines according to manufacturer’s standards and site specifications.
- Raw Material Preparation: Check and prepare raw materials needed for production.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain personal safety and that of colleagues on the production line.
- Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Physical Requirements: Manually lift packaged products, requiring good physical condition.
- Learnership Compliance: Meet all learnership requirements set by Unilever and training providers, including assessments and assignments.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science, or N3 in Engineering Studies.
Experience
- No prior experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for recent school leavers or those looking to enter the manufacturing sector.
