Job Overview
Ubs Off Cycle Internships 2024 Gauteng, provides an opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain practical experience in the financial industry outside the traditional summer internship period. Interns will work on impactful projects across various departments at UBS, gaining valuable insights and skills in investment banking, asset management, and financial services.
Position Purpose
The purpose of the off-cycle internship is to offer participants in-depth experience and exposure to UBS’s operations, allowing them to contribute to meaningful projects while developing a comprehensive understanding of the financial services sector. Interns will support various teams and gain hands-on experience that complements their academic studies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in financial analysis, market research, and data management.
- Support the preparation of client presentations, reports, and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members on diverse projects and initiatives.
- Participate in internal meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling and document handling.
- Contribute ideas and solutions to enhance project outcomes and team performance.
Education
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant coursework or academic projects related to finance or investment is advantageous.
Experience
- Previous experience in finance or related fields is not required but is considered a plus.
- Demonstrated interest in the financial industry through academic coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities is preferred.
Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with financial software or tools is a plus.
