Job Description
This learnership offers individuals the opportunity to be cross-trained in both sales floor operations and service desk functions within a retail environment. Key responsibilities will include engaging with customers and handling stock. To thrive in this role, candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to learning, successfully complete required logbooks, and undergo evaluations to be deemed competent as a cross-trained retail sales consultant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in learning activities and build foundational retail knowledge.
- Prepare thoroughly for all assessments to demonstrate competence.
- Assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise that suits their needs.
- Execute in-store merchandising in alignment with MBP (Merchandise Business Plan) principles.
- Process customer purchases and payments using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Support customer acquisition efforts by opening new store accounts.
- Help manage inventory and contribute to minimizing stock loss.
- Develop strong, service-oriented relationships with customers.
- Uphold customer safety and store security protocols at all times.
Requirements & Experience:
- Grade 10
- Passion for fashion and retail
- Complete a minimum of 120 on-site training hours as part of the program requirements.
