Job Overview:
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) is offering a dynamic internship program for the 2024/2025 period, aimed at providing students and recent graduates with valuable experience in tax administration and public finance. Position Purpose:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with tax-related research and analysis, including data collection and interpretation.
- Support the processing and administration of tax returns and compliance checks.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to project discussions.
- Assist with customer service and public inquiries related to tax matters.
- Collaborate with team members and other interns on various assignments.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors and internship coordinators.
Education:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program related to finance, accounting, economics, public administration, or a related field.
- A strong academic record with relevant coursework.
Experience:
- Previous internship or work experience in finance, accounting, or public administration is advantageous but not required.
- Relevant academic projects or coursework related to taxation or financial management is beneficial.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
