Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, file management, and report preparation.
  • Support police officers and staff in community outreach and public engagement activities.
  • Participate in the collection and analysis of data related to crime trends and police operations.
  • Help with organizing and coordinating departmental events, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Contribute to the preparation of case documentation and evidence management.
  • Engage in fieldwork and ride-alongs with officers to observe and assist with daily policing activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support departmental goals and initiatives.
Education
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in law enforcement, community service, or related areas is beneficial but not required.
  • Demonstrated interest in policing, criminal justice, or public safety.

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of criminal justice systems and law enforcement principles is advantageous.
