Position Purpose

The purpose of the Sanparks Internship Program is to provide hands-on experience and training in the management and conservation of natural parks and wildlife in South Asia. Interns will support various initiatives aimed at preserving biodiversity, enhancing park operations, and promoting environmental stewardship. This program is designed to develop future leaders in the field of conservation and park management.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with the implementation of conservation projects and park management activities.
  • Participate in wildlife monitoring and data collection efforts.
  • Support the development and execution of educational and outreach programs for local communities and visitors.
  • Contribute to habitat restoration and environmental protection initiatives.
  • Aid in the preparation and maintenance of park facilities and infrastructure.
  • Engage in field surveys and research activities to support conservation efforts.
  • Help with administrative tasks such as report preparation and data entry.

Education

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
Experience
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in conservation, environmental management, or related areas is advantageous but not required.
  • Demonstrated passion for wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability.

Skills

  • Strong observational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability to diverse and sometimes challenging field conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of ecological and conservation principles is a plus.
