Job Overview:

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) invites applications for its Internship Programs 2024. Position Purpose:

The SANBS Internship Program aims to provide recent graduates and current students with hands-on experience in the blood services sector. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with day-to-day operations in assigned departments.
  • Support the organization and execution of blood donation drives and related community events.
  • Participate in research projects, including data collection and analysis.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing reports and managing documents.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to develop professional skills.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors and other stakeholders.

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from a recognized university or higher education institution.
  • Relevant fields of study include Health Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Information Technology, and related disciplines.

Experience:

  • Previous internship or work experience in a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A genuine interest in the healthcare or non-profit sector is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
