Job Description:

The Learning and Development Team is responsible for planning, facilitating, coordinating, and implementing learning interventions, workshops, seminars, and conferences that drive business efficiency and financial growth within the organization. The team provides learning and development support to business units and provinces, with a specific focus on the implementation and evaluation of learning interventions. These initiatives are designed to support the achievement of divisional and organizational objectives, ensuring that employees have the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to overall success.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal departments to develop training materials that meet defined learning outcomes.
  • Assist in designing and developing course materials and teaching aids that effectively support content delivery.
  • Help prepare training materials, including Trainer Guides and Learner Guides, tailored for various delivery methodologies.
  • Support the process of revising, modifying, and updating existing training materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Assist in analyzing reports from completed training sessions to assess outcomes and areas for improvement.
  • Help conduct assessments based on pilot training content and provide feedback for content refinement.
  • Assist in facilitating training interventions using a variety of learning methodologies to engage participants and enhance learning experiences.

Requirements and Abilities:

  • Human Resources Information System (HRIS): Strong knowledge of HRIS tools and their role in managing and streamlining HR processes.
  • South African Employment/Labour Legislation: In-depth understanding of South African employment and labour laws, as well as related regulatory frameworks.
  • Human Resources Governance: Comprehensive knowledge of HR governance, principles, rules, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • HR Theories and Best Practices: Thorough understanding of HR theories and best practices aimed at improving and sustaining effective working relationships by addressing behavioural drivers.
  • Individual, Team, and Organisational Development: In-depth capability in development processes for individuals, teams, and entire organizations, aimed at fostering growth and performance.
  • Emotive, Behavioural, and Leadership Development: Deep understanding of development processes related to emotions, behaviours, and leadership, focusing on personal and professional growth.
  • Labour Relations, Coaching, Counselling, and Mentoring: Strong knowledge of theories and best practices in labour relations, as well as coaching, counselling, and mentoring methodologies for employee development.
  • Conflict Resolution: Thorough understanding of conflict resolution processes, including facilitation, mediation, and arbitration of disputes at individual, team, and union levels, with the ability to provide effective feedback

Required Degree?

  1. National Diploma and/or Degree in Human Resources Development, Organisation Development and Training Practice (ODETDP), Education Technology, or a relevant field. (NQF Level 6/7)
