Job Overview:
PPS (Professional Provident Society) Internship is offering an exciting internship program for graduate students for the 2024/2025 period. This program is tailored to provide recent graduates with practical experience and insights into the financial services and insurance industry. Interns will work closely with various departments, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to PPS’s projects and operational activities.
Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of this internship is to offer graduate students a platform to apply their academic knowledge in a professional environment. Interns will gain valuable industry experience, enhance their skills, and support PPS’s mission of delivering top-tier financial and insurance solutions to its members.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assist with research and analysis tasks related to financial services and insurance.
- Support project teams in developing and implementing solutions and strategies.
- Contribute to data collection, reporting, and presentation of findings.
- Participate in departmental meetings and provide input on ongoing initiatives.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including document preparation and data entry.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to support various business functions and projects.
- Provide support in customer service and client interaction as needed.
Education:
- Recently graduated or currently completing a graduate degree (Master’s or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or related disciplines.
- Minimum academic requirement: Master’s degree or equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous work experience is not required, but any relevant internships, academic projects, or extracurricular activities will be advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of financial services and insurance concepts is beneficial.
