Job Description:

Johannesburg Pikitup (SOC) Limited is establishing a database for students requiring Work Integrated Learning (WIL) to complete their studies. This initiative seeks to meet the growing demand from tertiary institutions for students to gain on-the-job exposure, which is either a prerequisite for obtaining an academic qualification or a requirement for post-qualification experiential training.

  • Gaining hands-on experience in their field of study.
  • Assisting with various tasks within their assigned department.
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations in areas such as finance, human resources, supply chain management, or other specified fields.
  • Participating in projects and assisting with data collection, reporting, and analysis.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborating with teams to ensure smooth workflows and effective service delivery.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, customer service, or departmental communications as needed.

Qualifications:

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be under the age of 35.
  • Reside in Johannesburg.
  • Must not have participated in any similar WIL or internship programs previously.
  • Be a South African citizen with a valid ID.
  • Must be currently unemployed.

Experience:

No prior work experience is required. This program is designed for students who need Work Integrated Learning (WIL) as part of their academic curriculum or to gain experiential training after qualification.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of the relevant field of study (e.g., finance, human resources, occupational health, etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.
