Job Overview:
The Public Investment Corporation (PIC) is offering a structured internship program for 2024/2025. This program is aimed at providing young professionals with practical experience in asset management, finance, and investment. Interns will work closely with experienced teams, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of investment management and financial analysis.
Position Purpose:
The purpose of this internship is to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge required to pursue a career in investment management and finance. Interns will gain valuable exposure to the financial services industry and contribute to PIC’s mission of managing public funds effectively.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assist with the analysis and monitoring of investment portfolios.
- Support the research and evaluation of financial markets and investment opportunities.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and presentations.
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and the development of investment strategies.
- Participate in meetings and provide input on investment decisions and project development.
- Provide administrative support to various departments, including document management and data entry.
- Engage in special projects and assignments as directed by supervisors.
Education:
- Recently graduated or currently completing a degree in Finance, Investment Management, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum academic requirement: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience:
- No prior professional experience required; however, any relevant internships, academic projects, or part-time work in finance or investment will be considered advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of financial markets and investment principles is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
