Job Description:
The Mandela Bay Theatre Complex (MBTC) is offering a non-renewable Internship Programme for the 2025 calendar year. Applications are invited from unemployed graduates aged 18 to 35, who hold a National Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification relevant to the internship post.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with tasks specific to each department (e.g., graphics, ICT support, finance, arts administration, etc.)
- Contribute to daily operational activities within the respective internship role.
- Support senior staff and collaborate with teams to ensure smooth functioning of various projects.
- Gain hands-on experience in a professional environment related to your field of study.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must have completed a National Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in the relevant field for the respective internship role.
- Specific qualifications required for each role:
- Graphics Assistant: National Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent qualification.
- ICT Support: National Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Information Science or related, with A+ and/or N+ certificates being advantageous.
- Finance: National Diploma/Degree in Financial Accounting or Accounting.
- Project Finance: National Diploma/Degree in Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, or related fields.
- Financial Administration Assistant: National Diploma/Degree in Financial Management, Financial Administration, or equivalent.
- Supply Chain Management: National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or Purchasing Management.
- Receptionist: National Diploma/Degree in Office Administration or Office Management.
- Arts Administration: National Diploma/Degree in Performing Arts, Office Administration, or related fields.
Experience:
- No prior work experience required.
- Applicants must be unemployed graduates between the ages of 18-35 years.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- For ICT roles: Knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and common software applications.
- For Arts Administration roles: A passion for the performing arts and organizational skills.
Job Benefits:
- Stipend: R7500.00 per month.
