Position Purpose
The KWV Internship Program aims to provide interns with practical experience and exposure to the wine and spirits industry, fostering professional development and preparing them for future careers in the field. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to projects that align with KWV’s strategic objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the winemaking process, including grape harvesting, fermentation, and bottling.
- Support marketing teams in developing promotional materials and executing campaigns.
- Assist the finance department with data analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Provide support to human resources in recruitment, training, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to manage supply chain operations and inventory control.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to gain a holistic understanding of the business.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
Education
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Enology, Viticulture, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance from a recognized institution.
Experience
- Previous internship or work experience in a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of initiative and eagerness to learn.
