Job Description:

Ithala Development Finance Corporation (IDFC) is offering a 12-month Internship Programme for young, qualified individuals from KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). The programme is aimed at unemployed graduates aged between 18 and 35 years who have not previously participated in or benefited from a similar internship.

This opportunity is designed to give interns valuable exposure in various sectors, with placements in different areas of the organization, providing hands-on experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain practical work experience and skills in a professional environment.
  • Assist with daily operational tasks and projects in various departments.
  • Participate in meetings, training, and other corporate activities.
  • Contribute to team objectives and help with the smooth running of the department.
  • Complete assigned tasks within set deadlines and report progress to supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be in possession of a National Diploma or Degree relevant to the specific internship position.
  • Relevant academic qualifications may include:
    • Accounting, Financial Accounting, or Secretariat (for Internal Audit)
    • Business Management, Public Management, or Marketing & Communication (for various roles)
    • HR/Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, or Information & Communication Technology (for ICT and HR-related positions)

Experience:

  • No prior work experience is required as this is an entry-level internship programme.
  • Applicants must be unemployed and have not participated in similar internship programmes.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to take initiative and demonstrate problem-solving abilities.
