FlySafair Internship, one of South Africa’s leading low-cost airlines, is excited to offer a range of internship opportunities for 2024. This internship program is designed to provide hands-on experience in various departments, including operations, customer service, marketing, and more. Position Purpose:
The purpose of this internship is to offer graduate students and recent graduates practical experience within the aviation industry. Interns will work closely with FlySafair’s team members, gaining exposure to different facets of airline operations and management. This program aims to enhance interns’ industry knowledge, build their professional skills, and prepare them for successful careers in aviation or related fields.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily operations in various departments, including flight operations, customer service, marketing, and administration.
- Support the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to operational efficiency by assisting with scheduling, logistics, and project management tasks.
- Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support departmental goals and strategies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, handling complaints, and ensuring a positive passenger experience.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as document preparation, filing, and coordinating meetings and events.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives to improve processes and enhance service quality.
Education:
- Must be currently enrolled in or have recently completed a graduate program (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in Business Administration, Aviation Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with relevant coursework related to the aviation industry.
Experience:
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, or marketing is advantageous but not required.
- A demonstrated interest in aviation and airline operations is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to handling challenges and opportunities.
