Job Overview
The Department of Home Affairs is pleased to announce the opening of its 2024/2025 Internship Graduate Program. Position Purpose
The Home Affairs Internship Graduate Program aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical work experience. Interns will gain exposure to the inner workings of government operations, with a focus on delivering services that are crucial to the functioning of society. Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of the Department, providing support to various units and teams.

- Conduct research and compile reports to support decision-making processes within the Department.
- Engage with the public and other stakeholders to provide information and resolve queries.

Education
- A recent graduate with a National Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or higher qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration, Law, Political Science, Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, etc.).
- A solid academic record is essential, and involvement in extracurricular activities or leadership roles will be advantageous.
Experience
- No prior work experience is required, but any internships, volunteer work, or part-time jobs within a relevant field will be considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with public sector operations or a strong interest in government services will be beneficial.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking with the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
