Job Description:
The Government Printing Works (GPW) invites qualifying graduates to apply for the Graduate Internship Programme for the 2024/2025 financial year. This 24-month programme provides valuable work experience and exposure to various sectors within the government. Interns will have the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a professional environment while gaining hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
As an intern, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in daily operations and administrative tasks specific to your department.
- Supporting ongoing projects within your division, including office management, logistics, and public administration.
- Collaborating with team members and senior staff to meet departmental objectives.
- Engaging in various initiatives across multiple GPW departments, such as Finance, Operations, ICT, and Human Resources.
- Attending meetings, preparing reports, and conducting relevant research to contribute to departmental goals.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GPW Internship Programme, applicants must possess the following:
- A Diploma or Degree relevant to the internship position they are applying for (see detailed qualifications under each role).
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Between the ages of 18 and 35 years old.
- Applicants should not have previously participated in any internship at a Government or State Institution.
Experience
No prior work experience is required for this internship, as it is aimed at recent graduates. However, applicants with basic knowledge or internships in related fields will have an advantage.

Interns should possess the following skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
