Job Description:
The Gauteng Partnership Fund (GPF) is looking for a dedicated and motivated Supply Chain graduate with no prior work experience to join their team. As a Supply Chain Intern, you will provide essential administrative support to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) unit and other business units within GPF. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in supply chain functions and collaborate with a professional SCM team.
Responsibilities:
As a Supply Chain Intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing suppliers from the Central Supplier Database.
- Compiling and evaluating price quotations.
- Conducting market research on products and services.
- Assisting in the preparation of procurement plans and quarterly reports.
- Supporting the management of tenders and participating in bid committee processes.
- Performing inventory management and monthly inventory reconciliations.
- Coordinating travel arrangements and handling monthly reconciliations.
- Assisting with contract management and expenditure trend analysis.
- Drafting various reports and ensuring compliance.
- Supporting Economic Development (ED) and BEE reporting.
- Engaging in teamwork, brainstorming sessions, and mentoring activities.
- Performing additional SCM-related duties as required by the CEO, CFO, or Line Manager.
Qualifications:
- National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent qualification.
Experience:
- No prior work experience required. This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the supply chain field.
Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow in the field.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and eager to contribute to the SCM unit.
