Job Description
The Eastern Cape Department of Community Safety is offering a 24-month internship programme for the 2024/25 – 2025/26 financial year. This programme aims to provide unemployed graduates between the ages of 18-35 with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in various fields within the department.
The internship is a non-renewable contract for the specified 24-month period. Applicants must hold a relevant degree or national diploma as per the specified requirements. Candidates who are currently enrolled in another internship programme or have previously undergone an internship with the department will not be considered.
Responsibilities
As a graduate intern, you will:
- Gain hands-on experience and exposure in your chosen field.
- Assist with day-to-day operations within the department.
- Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives under the guidance of experienced mentors.
- Develop practical skills while receiving professional training and support.
- Engage in various tasks relevant to your field of study, depending on your role.

Qualifications
- Required: Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in one of the specified fields for the relevant internship.
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be between the ages of 18-35.
- Note: Applicants who are currently enrolled in another internship programme or who have completed an internship with the Eastern Cape Department of Community Safety are not eligible.
Experience
- Preferred: No prior work experience is required, but experience or academic projects related to the internship field will be an advantage.
Skills
