The Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities (DWYPD) Internship is offering an exciting internship program for qualified graduates seeking to gain valuable work experience in a dynamic and impactful government department.
Position Purpose
The DWYPD Internship Programme provides an opportunity for recent graduates to contribute to the Department’s mission of empowering women, youth, and persons with disabilities. Interns will gain hands-on experience working on various projects and initiatives aligned with the Department’s core functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with research and data collection for policy development and program evaluation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of programs that promote gender equality, youth development, and the rights of persons with disabilities.
- Draft reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
- Provide administrative support to program staff.
- Participate in departmental meetings and workshops.
- Attend training and development opportunities offered by the Department.
Education Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Law, Public Administration, Gender Studies, Youth Development, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- No prior experience is required, but relevant volunteer work or coursework is a plus.
Skills Requirements
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Commitment to social justice and equality.
