Job Description:
The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), through its Group Corporate & Shared Services Department, is offering a valuable internship opportunity for qualified, unemployed graduates. This 18-month internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in Human Capital Management, enabling interns to develop key HR skills while contributing to organizational success.
As a Human Capital Management intern, you will play a key role in coordinating various HR administrative tasks, supporting the implementation of HR policies, and ensuring employees receive guidance on organizational and legislative procedures related to their benefits and career development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating administrative HR functions, ensuring smooth implementation of procedures, systems, and controls.
- Support recruitment processes and handle related administrative tasks.
- Prepare reports by compiling qualitative and quantitative data for statutory submissions.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for subcommittee meetings and dispute hearings.
- Contribute to the implementation of HR policies and ensure compliance with organizational procedures.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have:
- A completed Degree or National Diploma in:
- Human Resource Management
- Business Administration
- Business Management
- Public Administration
- Public Management
- Or any related qualification.

Experience:
- No prior work experience is required for this internship.
- Applicants must be unemployed and have not participated in similar internship programs previously.
Skills and Competencies:
