Position Purpose

The purpose of this internship programme is to provide interns with real-world exposure to the aviation industry. Interns will work under the guidance of skilled mentors, contributing to various operational functions within ACSA. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operations of the airport to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Participate in the monitoring and implementation of safety procedures.
  • Provide support in coordinating airport traffic management, baggage handling, and customer service.
  • Participate in the development and execution of airport logistics strategies.
  • Assist in the analysis of operational data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with different airport departments such as security, maintenance, and finance, gaining insight into each area.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of documentation and reports.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects and attend regular meetings for updates on progress.
  • Work with senior staff to understand and contribute to business strategies for airport growth and sustainability.

Education

  • A National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Honours Degree in one of the following fields:
    • Aviation Management
    • Airport Operations
    • Logistics and Supply Chain
    • Business Administration
    • Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical)
    • Finance, Accounting, or Economics
    • Public Relations or Communications
    • Marketing or related fields

Experience

  • No prior work experience is required.
  • Experience in any customer-facing or operational role is advantageous.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and use data effectively.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
